Note on Anti-Virus Software:
Before installing or updating software on a computer, it is very important to temporarily disable anti-virus software during the installation process as anti-virus software may adversely affect the installation.
Note on Domain Controllers / Active Directory servers:
Having the Microsoft prerequisites for ARTA Deposit such as MSDE 2000, SQL Server 2000 or Internet Information Services (IIS) installed on a Domain Controller or Active Directory server introduces your network and ARTA Deposit data to security risks.
These risks include:
- Loss or misuse of customer data,
- Loss or misuse of institution data,
- Unauthorized access to system,
- Adverse regulatory examination reports or other regulatory actions.
Because both Microsoft and Wolters Kluwer Financial Services recommend against installing these Microsoft prerequisites on a Domain Controller or Active Directory server, Wolters Kluwer Financial Services will no longer support this type of installation. Contact SupportLine at (800) 274-2711 Ext. 123056 to discuss alternate installation options.
Note on Windows XP - Service Pack 2 and Windows Server 2003 - Service Pack 1:
Additonal configuration settings may be needed for ARTA Deposit to function properly after installing Windows XP Service Pack 2 or Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1 and only applies to networked customers where the ARTA Deposit server is on Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 2 or where the ARTA Deposit server is installed on Windows Server 2003 with Service Pack 1 installed.
